This August 2023, we provided Pip’s Summer Club, providing fun activities and food for free to children and families on the Avondale Estate and in our parish throughout the holidays. The project was a total success, with our summer club at full capacity nearly every session.

Providing nutritious meals was a key part of our project.

The children had the opportunity to get involved in lots of different activities. Creative projects included painting over a plain cross to hang in church, face painting and pebble decorating. To keep active, we encouraged the children to join in with parachute games, team sports, and lots of dancing!

The children also had a chance to be entertained by Theo the magician.

In our final week, we had the opportunity to take most of the children and parents to London Zoo. We are extremely grateful to London Zoo for the discounted tickets that allowed us to have a fabulous day out. Everyone had an amazing day.

Pip’s August Summer Club wouldn’t have been possible without our dedicated team of volunteers who so selflessly and wholeheartedly gave their time to create a safe and joyful summer club for children in our area. Our thanks go to all volunteered.
